ATV & Razor Tours
Rubicon Trail Staging Area
Our Rubicon Trailhead is near Tahoma, on the west shore of Lake Tahoe north of Emerald Bay. We start the Rubicon Tours from the far eastern edge of the world famous Rubicon Trail.
- From South Shore or the casino area, take Highway 50 West towards the “Y”. Turn right at the “Y” onto Highway 89 North.
- From the Sacramento area, take Highway 50 to the “Y”, and go straight to get onto Highway 89 North.
- From North Shore, go to Highway 89 South towards Emerald Bay.
Once on Highway 89, look for the “Rubicon Trail OHV Access” signs after you pass Emerald Bay going north, or before Emerald Bay if you are going south. Or, you can use this map to get directions from your exact location.
Pine Nut Mountain Staging Area
Our ATV tours in the Pine Nut Mountains explore a spectacularly rugged and unforgiving landscape that’s surprisingly close to Lake Tahoe and Reno. We head out into the pinion pine, sagebrush, and juniper country on the east side of the beautiful Carson Valley. You’ll ride desert washes, climb rocky hills, and cruise across sagebrush flats that are home to bands of wild horses.
